Social Preview Inspector is a Chrome extension by Faiz Azizan (drfaizazizan.com) that previews how a webpage will appear when shared on WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn, and checks its Open Graph / Twitter Card metadata for issues.
Scan history (the meta tags found, and a timestamp) is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local,
keyed by page URL, so the "History" tab can show what changed between scans. This stays on your device, capped at the
last 5 scans per URL. Nothing is sent to Faiz Azizan, drfaizazizan.com, or any third-party server — there is no backend,
no analytics, and no account system.
The extension needs to read meta tags from whichever page you're actively viewing, and — for the Bulk scan feature — fetch other pages and sitemap files you explicitly provide a URL for. It does not run in the background on sites you haven't opened the side panel on or entered into the Bulk tab.
None. No data leaves your browser. No third-party services, SDKs, or trackers are used.
